First Chair for the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Nature Partnership

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Nature Partnership appointed Alan Knight as its first Chair in June 2013. It takes Alan back to his academic and first career roots as Alan’s PhD centred on looking at the impact of china clay waste off the coast of Cornwall and his first job was as a marine ecologist for the National Rivers Authority in Cornwall.

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Nature Partnership draws together key people across the private, public and not for profit sectors to help champion the benefits of a healthy, high quality natural environment. The Partnership helps to co-ordinate work to enhance places, creating attractive settings for investment and to deliver regeneration. It will work alongside the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership and the Health and Wellbeing Boards to establish a coordinated approach between those deciding on the future of the environment, health and wellbeing and the economy.
